About Us

Owning and running boarding kennels had been a dream of Lesley Moorby and Lesley White's for some time. In 2006 they first discovered Holmewood Kennels, formerly a Quarantine Kennels, and by May of the following year they had improved and re-opened the site as a boarding kennels additionally offering grooming and training services. Life running a kennels is a far cry from their previous careers in education,training and industry! However working with the dogs is fantastic and totally rewarding - even in the worst of our Yorkshire winter weather!!

The team at Holmewood consists of

Lesley White  -  who shows her  beautiful beagles, see our Merrilyn website - www.merrilyn.co.uk for further details of the hounds and puppies. Lesley also is a qualified Micro-chipper - a service offered at the kennels.

Lesley Moorby - a Dog Listener, holds a Certificate of Advanced Canine Communication and also shows and breeds the Beagles.

Amy Simpson - Senior Kennels Assistant

Amy is the newest member of the full time team at Holmewood and is fully qualified in animal care.
